Residential refurbishment: London
Brief: The concept brief being the volute newel posts to resemble a unicorn’s horn with a four start flat twist with a diminishing twist on a taper. The balusters resemble antilopes legs.
All staircases are purpose made to customer’s requirements, from a simple softwood straight stair to an exclusive oak commission. The two lift staircase incorporating five flights constructed in English Oak and Ebony inlays to the handrail and balustrade. The handrail is continuous throughout the flight, with wreaths, swan necks, ramps, radii, easing and balusters, all being hand carved. Total man hours to manufacture the flight.
Newel posts with different style caps, volute handrails, spindle designs and handrail profiles, all finished in the timber created a truly unique staircase.
